What it is and what it is used for

Retinol at 0.5% in drop form. Retinol remains the best-evidenced topical available for fine lines, texture and uneven tone — it increases cell turnover, supports collagen production and keeps pores clear.

How to use

Apply a few drops to clean, dry skin at night. Start two nights a week, build to alternate nights, then nightly as tolerated. Moisturiser over the top if needed. Sunscreen every morning without exception — retinol makes skin markedly more sun-sensitive.

Be aware of

Not for use in pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Expect dryness and flaking in the first few weeks; that settles. Do not use on the same night as a glycolic or salicylic acid product, and stop for a few days before waxing or a peel.
