What it is and what it is used for

Acetyl-L-carnitine crosses the blood-brain barrier readily, which is why this form is chosen for cognitive support. It carries long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria to be burned for energy, and contributes to acetylcholine synthesis.

500 mg is the most commonly used strength.

How to use

One capsule daily, taken in the morning, with or without food, or as directed.

Be aware of

Take it earlier in the day — it can feel stimulating and disturb sleep if taken late.
