What it is and what it is used for

Phosphatidylserine is a phospholipid concentrated in the membranes of brain cells, where it supports the structure and signalling of the neuron itself. Levels decline with age.

Taken to support memory and concentration, and for its role in moderating the cortisol response to stress — which is also why it appears in sleep protocols.

How to use

One capsule daily with food, or as directed. Taken in the evening if the aim is cortisol and sleep rather than daytime focus.

Be aware of

Allow eight to twelve weeks. Phosphatidylserine has mild blood-thinning activity — tell us if you take an anticoagulant.
