L-arginine is an amino acid the body uses to make nitric oxide, which relaxes blood vessels. It is taken to support healthy circulation, exercise performance and recovery, wound healing and sexual function in both men and women.

How to use

One capsule daily, or as directed by your prescriber.

Be aware of

Avoid if you have had a recent heart attack. L-arginine may lower blood pressure — take care if you use blood-pressure medicine, nitrates or medicines for erectile dysfunction. It can trigger cold sores or shingles in people prone to them, and may worsen asthma in some people. Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
