What it is and what it is used for

Inositol supports healthy glucose metabolism and helps the body process carbohydrates and fats. It contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, supports brain health and insulin sensitivity, and is widely used in women's reproductive health, including by women with polycystic ovary syndrome.

How to use

One capsule daily, or as directed by your prescriber.

Be aware of

May lower blood glucose — monitor closely if you are diabetic. Inositol interacts with lithium and can reduce its effect — do not take it if you are on lithium without your doctor's agreement. Loose stools and mild nausea can occur at higher doses. If you are being managed for PCOS, tell your doctor you are taking this so it fits with the rest of your treatment. Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding without advice.
