What it is and what it is used for

D-ribose is a naturally occurring sugar that forms part of the backbone of ATP, the body's energy currency. It is taken to support energy metabolism, heart muscle energy and recovery from fatigue.

How to use

One measured scoop daily in water or juice, or as directed by your prescriber.

Be aware of

D-ribose lowers blood glucose and can cause hypoglycaemia — take particular care if you are diabetic or take insulin, and take it with food. Not suitable before surgery. Loose stools, nausea and headache can occur at higher doses. Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
