What it is and what it is used for

Trimethylglycine (betaine anhydrous), 500 mg. TMG donates methyl groups in the methionine cycle, which the body uses for DNA production and to keep homocysteine at normal levels — relevant to cardiovascular health and to cellular energy and repair.

How to use

One capsule daily with food, or as directed by your prescriber.

Be aware of

TMG can raise LDL cholesterol at higher doses — ask your doctor to monitor your lipids if you take it long term. It works alongside B12, B6 and folate; a raised homocysteine should be assessed by a doctor rather than self-treated. Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding without advice.
