What it is and what it is used for

Pyridoxal 5-phosphate is the active, already-converted form of vitamin B6 — the form the body actually uses. It matters because converting ordinary B6 requires a liver step that not everyone performs efficiently.

B6 is a cofactor for well over a hundred enzymes, including those that build serotonin, dopamine and GABA, and it supports normal nerve function, protein metabolism and hormone regulation.

How to use

One capsule daily with food, or as directed.

Be aware of

Do not exceed the dose or take it long-term without review. Sustained high-dose vitamin B6 can cause peripheral neuropathy — tingling or numbness in the hands and feet — which is the very thing it is often taken to help. Tell us if you notice any new numbness.
