What it is and what it is used for

Panax ginseng is a traditional adaptogenic herb with antioxidant activity, used to support energy, stamina and the body's response to physical and mental stress.

How to use

One capsule daily in the morning with food, or as directed by your prescriber. Taken late in the day it can disturb sleep.

Be aware of

Ginseng interacts with warfarin, with diabetes medicines (it can lower blood glucose) and with monoamine oxidase inhibitors. Speak to your doctor before use if you have high blood pressure, a heart rhythm problem, or a hormone-sensitive condition. Not for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Ginseng is usually taken in courses rather than continuously.
