What it is and what it is used for

Glycine is the smallest amino acid and one of the busiest. It is a building block of glutathione, haemoglobin and DNA, and it is central to the liver's phase II detoxification pathways.

It also acts as an inhibitory neurotransmitter in its own right, which is why it is taken for calm and sleep quality as well as for general metabolic support.

How to use

One capsule daily, or as directed. Taken in the evening if the aim is sleep quality.

Be aware of

Well tolerated and mildly sweet-tasting. Useful alongside glutathione, since glycine is one of its three building blocks.
