Alpha Lipoic Acid 250 mg Capsules (60 capsules)

What it is and what it is used for

Alpha lipoic acid is unusual among antioxidants in working in both the watery and the fatty compartments of the cell, and in helping regenerate other antioxidants such as vitamins C and E once they have been used up.

Taken for antioxidant support, mitochondrial function and healthy glucose metabolism. The 250 mg strength is the usual starting point.

How to use

One capsule daily, taken with food, or as directed. Some people prefer it away from a meal for absorption — follow the guidance we give you.

Be aware of

If you take medication for diabetes or thyroid disease, speak to us before starting — alpha lipoic acid can affect blood glucose and may mean your medication needs adjusting.
