Our interest in the products we sell
Ramsaroop Medical Centre & Aesthetic Clinic sells skincare products through this online store, and we earn a retail margin on every product sold. We want you to know this before you buy.
This notice is published in line with the Health Professions Council of South Africa's Ethical Rules of Conduct, which require a practitioner to disclose any financial interest in products they recommend or supply.
What this means for you
- A recommendation is never a condition of your care. You are under no obligation to buy anything from us. Every product we stock is available from other suppliers, and you are free to buy elsewhere.
- We will tell you if something cheaper will do the same job. If an over-the-counter product from a pharmacy suits your skin as well as a premium one, we will say so.
- We do not receive commission from any brand. We buy stock and resell it at our own margin. No manufacturer or distributor pays us to recommend, prescribe or promote their products.
These are cosmetic products
The products in this store are cosmetics and sunscreens. They are intended to cleanse, protect, moisturise and improve the appearance of the skin. They are not medicines, and nothing on this site should be read as a claim to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition.
If you have a skin condition that concerns you, please book a consultation rather than self-treating from a product page. Some of the products we carry are supplied in clinic only, after an assessment, because they are not appropriate for everyone.
